Dr. Shehzad Ghayyur Mashwani
Biography

I am Dr. Shehzad Ghayyur, a researcher and academic with a Ph.D. in Zoology, specializing in ecotoxicology and fisheries. Currently, I am serving as a Lecturer in Zoology at Hazara University, Mansehra, where I have been actively engaged in teaching and research for over a decade. My academic journey has provided me with broad expertise in fish hematology, histopathology, oxidative stress, endocrine, immunological, and molecular biomarkers, which I have applied in exploring the impacts of environmental pollutants (agrochemicals, heavy metals, detergents, microplastics) on aquatic organisms. Throughout my career, I have published several research articles in reputed international journals, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in ecotoxicology and fisheries science. I have also supervised Master’s, M.Phil., and Ph.D. students, guiding them in developing strong research skills and contributing to meaningful scientific outcomes. In addition, I actively serve as a reviewer for academic journals, supporting the peer-review process and promoting quality research dissemination. My professional interests extend beyond the classroom and laboratory, as I am deeply committed to environmental conservation, sustainable fisheries, and biodiversity protection. I have participated in national and international scientific conferences, where I shared my research findings and developed valuable academic collaborations. Currently, I am seeking opportunities to further contribute to ecotoxicology and environmental health research, particularly through collaborative projects and postdoctoral studies aimed at addressing global environmental challenges.
